Marie Diby is a writer, director and editor based in London. She carries a Bachelor's degree in Film/Media, Culture & Identity from the University of Roehampton. She has written, shot, directed and edited her short films which can be found on this portfolio site. She has also written about black women in the the media for Heroica, a storytelling digital platform dedicated to sharing and celebrating the voices of women and non-binary people. She also practises creative writing in her spare time, as well as lots of reading! :)

Marie is also the Community Engagement Lead of Black Women in Post Production (BWIPP), a network that supports Black/Black mixed heritage women and non-binary people at all all career levels in post-production.

She is currently being trained as an edit trainee for High-End TV Production as part of the ScreenSkills Trainee Finder Programme 2024/25. In addition, she is currently developing a comedy short film with 42.ent Productions.
